RESEARCH
Researchers increasingly more often make use of driving simulators for the purpose of recording and analysing the behaviour of drivers. A major advantage of a driving simulator is that the software offers extensive possibilities for recording and storing detailed information about the driver’s behaviour. Various Universities and Research Institutions use Green Dino’s research simulator.
The measured data elements include:
Active Time, Position, Velocity, Clutch, Acceleration, Orientation, Brake, Throttle, Steering, Angular Velocity, Angular Acceleration, Parking Brake, Indicator, Gear, Horn, Distance-To-Next-Element, Current Road Type, Next Road Net Element, Strip Index, RPM, etc.
The student monitoring system was developed on the basis of these measured data elements. Below is a screenshot of the interface.
